I'm setting up a computer to play video and music to my tv and stereo. The only problem is that I'll have to run ~50 feet of A/V cable in order to get the signal from the PC to my TV. I'm thinking the cable with Audio and Video. I also have the option of running S-Video, with normal audio cables. Is this going to work, or am I going to have problems with this distance?
Does anybody know of good, reasonably priced cabling, and where I might be able to buy some?
Thanks!

one can greatly increase one's chances of getting responses to one's posts if he plays by our rules. the rules are accessed at the top of the page, under "here are the rules".not that you run afoul of our rules, so long as you continue to post as "CableKnowledgeSeeker" every time you visit the Asylum...but
it is an unfortunate moniker, for obvious reasons, plus it has the added disadvantage that it has the stench of AudioReview.
one hopes that one would pick a more reasonable persona (use the same one every time you visit), and post one's query to the Cable Asylum , as the cable inmates are more versed of the arcana and vernacular of ...this particular personality disorder (wire madness).
oh, unless you really are as crazy as the rest of us, in which case...welcome, 65.27.138. permit me to recomend the persona, "jasmine"

I used 50' of standard Video cable(Radio Shack has it in 25' lengths. For 50', you must use two 25' with couplers.) to go from my computer's video card to my television's(HT receiver first)composite input. I never had any problems. I tried 25' also. I didn't see any real differences between 25' and 50', but I was sending standard IE4.0 to my television so I could save some images to VHS. That's not a real performance picture to use for referencing. So the actual chain of 50' video cable went to my receiver's video composite connection, then the receiver fed it to my television and my VCR, for taping.
I was using a 50' length as a permanent connection to my receiver. I strung the 25' across my living room floor as a temporary solution.
