My 36" Toshiba has an outstanding picture but does have difficulties displaying oblique lines (I get a slightly jagged line). I read about a product--the DVDO iScan Plus and I wonder if there would be a way to add it in-line between my DVD player and the TV and if it would do me any good. Does anyone have any other suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance for your input.
My sharpness control is all the way down, Tom. Rich thank you for your input as well. Lee M., I've got the Video Essentials and have run it several times such that I've got my picture as good as it's going to get. Guess I'll just have to live with the mild annoyance (and it is mild--I'm just being picky about my picture) until I can afford the Vidikron Video One or other such high-end projector. Thanks again to you all.
You might try adjusting your sharpness control. When you use the sharpness control you are adding something to the signal that wasn't there to begin with. TV's usually have the sharpness control set too high from the factory. Try turning the sharpness completely off and then bring it up slowly to a level just before the jaggies start to show up.Tom S.
...you're stuck with it. You might try watching from a greater distance.
