I hate to be a pain, but I'm a 2 channel vinyl guy that has a family that wants a home theater setup. As usual, the objective of the staff at home theater shops is to confuse - so here I am - confused. Is there a site or resource that you can recommend to bring me out of the dark ages on this subject rather than peppering you with dumb questions?Thanks,

You might find Robert Harley's book useful. It's called: "Home Theater for Everyone: A Practical Guide to Today's Home Entertainment Systems". It's pretty good.
