I have a Wega 32XBR400. The sales guy at Tweeter told me that due to
the advanced technology in the video comb filter, I should use a
composite cable rather than component cables from my DVD. Can this
possibly be good advice?Thanks,
Matt

YOU SHOULD TRY BOTH AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF.COMPONENT IS SAID TO BE SUPERIOR BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT THE QUALITY OF THE CABLES AND SOMETIMES THE DVD PLAYERS THEMSELVES CAN BE A FACTOR.I ALSO HAVE A WEGA TV AND I USE BOTH CABLES .(VIDEO 1 & VIDEO 4)DONT FORGET TO TRY S-VIDEO IF YOU HAVE IT ,IT FALLS BETWEEN COMPOSITE AND COMPONENT...RIT
I agree. I own a Toshiba 40H80 HDTV, digital cable and just re-cabled the house w/ 1694a. THe cable not only blew me away, but back went the Monster series ll, as the F-connector gave superior performence over s-video. The 1694a w/75ohm gave slightly better video.
I plan to make an svideo cable from belden 7700a cable.
So ya never no!!!!
sounds like maybe he meant to say componet not composite, as I'm lead to believe component is superior to composite
