seperates..Sherwood Newcastle Pre/Pro ? and either Sunfire Cinema, AnthemMCA5, or Carver 705. I would be shopping the used market on these pieces. My question would be which amp is closest to tube sound in 2 channel mode. I'm debating intergrating my audio set-up into the HT set-up. Really only possibility would be with a Pre that has true analog by-pass and a tube-like sounding SS 5 channel amp. I've tried it with the Denon and it ain't happening with my vinyl rig(it loses the magic mid-range). Nothing etched in stone equipment choice-wise here, so I'm open to any and all ideas.
Any thoughts?
