I bought the Xantech ground loop isolator for 10 dollars at a local audio shop. It helped to an extent but it did not get rid of it all. I can still hear it if I listen but it is considerably better than without it.
Follow Ups:
I had the same problem with my sub amplified. Simple fix was to get a gound adapter (without the ground plug) and plug the sub amp in with the polarity reversed. A little testing may be required to figure out which piece is causing the ground loop, but for under a buck you can't beat it.If this seems too cheap and easy send me $20.00 and in about six weeks I'll send you one painted gold with a fancy name (Hum-B-Gone, HumAway, Hummer Bummer) on the side!
