Just checking to make sure and thanks. They are coming out tomorrow and will be replaced after determining impedence.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that removing the speakers, and replacing them will invalidate your warranty. If something goes wrong, do you really want to be in that position with a $2500+ purchase?
Regards,
THe replecement speakers would be a retro-fit. Pop out and pop in. No intention on cutting any bigger holes. No one is the wiser, except for me and my ears.
I plan to take one with me today to line it up and buy a pair. Keep you posted how it sounds.
Those speakers in your TV are magnetically sheilded so they don't screw up your picture. They are either in a cavity that is shielded or the speakers themselves have bucking magnets. If the cavity is shielded it may not be shielded enough for a more powerful magnet. Car speakers, even if they are the right impedence, won't have bucking magnets. You paid a lot of money for a high def. picture and you'd be running a big risk of screwing it up. Don't you have a DD5.1 set up with all external speakers?
