I have found the AVR100 to mate well with most speakers for both home theater and music. I have used several small sub sat systems for HT and a larger floor standing system. I have also used a very efficient pair of "high end" speakers with powered subs with very good results. My only caution is not to use inefficient speakers or speakers with low impedances. The AVR100 can sound very good and when driving efficient speakers that are 6 or 8 ohms it sounds wonderful!
