Is there such a thing as a component output-to-VGA connector? Over a year ago, I bought a Philips multimedia monitor for cheap, and now I'd like to upgrade my old DVD player to component output. Unfortunately, the Philips doesn't have component input--though it does have VGA and CVBS/RGB. Is there a cable that can connect the two?
The only DVD player I've seen with VGA output is the Camelot Roundtable, which I'd love to have but alas cannot afford; are there any others?

Assuming your component output is standard interlaced component video, you would need a device like the Iscan Pro.

  According to the literature I've read, the MSB modified Sony 7700 DVD player outputs progressive scan RGB through an analog DVI port. They offer an adaptor to fit your monitor's DB-15HD VGA input. This modification is really quite remarkable, nothing else like it out there that I've seen (exept a DVD equipped PC, another good option for you). The MSB mod Sony 7700 will upconvert the native mpeg digital (no analog stage between player and upconverter) video to 480p, 540p, 720p, 768p, 864p, 1024p, and 1200p.
