Do you have (or intend to add) either DVD-A or SACD? Are you going to include analog sources with this pre/pro?If the answer to either of these is yes, I recommend the Theta as the Classe` has no analog bypass capability.

Actually, the Casa Nova does not have analog bypass. The CasaBlanca does, however. I think you might have them mixed up. I have a CasaNova, and wish I had analog bypass! At any rate, the first thing our buyer needs to check is, of course, the pocketbook. The 'Nova is $3500-$5000. I am unsure of the price on the Classe, althought the SSP-50 is $6500. I like the Casa Nova because you can buy a basic version of it, then upgrade. This totally fit my situation, and I can plan on upgrading every year without buying a completely new component. If you want ot get it all at once, you can either buy the fully loaded Casa Nova, or the Classe. I have not heard the Classe, but I do have a Classe CAV-150 multi-channel amplifier and LOVE IT.
But finally, as a buyer, you must enact Brian's Rule: use your own ears. I love my 'nova, but it's because I listened first.
have fun!

Doh!Correct, I was thinking of the CB and CB-2.
My bad.
