Its upgradeable, had analogue bypass, handles everything from DTS to MP3, has outstanding performance on 2 channel music and even comes with a pronto remote. Just my 2 cents.

upgradable how and to what? i own one of these and cal (which indeed does claim upgradability) said that there would be no dts-es or dolby digital-ex upgrade for this unit.is anything in the pipeline? i own many many cal products and while i obviously like them, their claims of "future proof" products are marketing fluff. specific upgrades on specific products exist, but this is not the same as future proofing.
