O.k. my cable company has pissed me off for the last time it's DSS time .I'm looking for stellar video and audio DD is a must Dishnetwork or DirectTV. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

...I went with DirecTV and have been VERY happy with it. For what it's worth, I have a friend that has Dishnetwork and he is just as happy as I am. I would look at them both and decide which is best based on your individual wants...as for picture quality and sound I don't think you could go wrong with either compared to cable. I would compare both channel packages side by side...look at the cost for the channels you want, whether they both offer local channels in your area, etc. I've been told DirecTV is better for sports, DISH is better for movies. Also check out the receiver boxes for both, as they vary in features and ease of use...the Sony receiver/dish was one of the main reasons I picked DirecTV. Only you can really decide based on what's right for you. With either it will be WAAAAAY BETTER than cable!!!
...is that the dishes are aimed in a different direction for each network; depending on how your house is aligned it could make a difference on which network you choose. You can check out the link below for programming info:
