I recently purchased an S-Video cable, but have been experiencing problems with the picture on the television set. The first is that a small portion of the picture on the top of the screen slants from time to time, and the second is that dark green/black lines show up randomly on any portion of the screen every several minutes. Any idea as to what could cause this? Could it be faulty cables, the DVD player, or TV set?

Yep! But I would try changing the lead first. If that is not the problem try using the video on another TV. Should be able to narrow down the culprit that way.....!
