The idiots, sort of shooting themselves in the feet, are screwing around, holding back to make a "foolproof" copy protection scheme and are basically screwing themselves in the process. If they could see what idiots they are... maybe in hindsight. For now the DVD-A is still being tinkered with and who knows when they will really start getting in gear...

I would suggest you buy a player now and enjoy it. DVD-A and SCAD will be a long time in coming just like HDTV! Plus it take a few more years for the audiophile companies to come out with something decent!
