  I use the VMPS subwoofer. It is made by Brian Cheney, who is on this website. To my ears, it is very musical and I use it mostly for home theater. I use it with my WATT's.

  I did this research recently and I know the ACI Titan II is very highly regarded by a lot of folks. Check the archives here and, somewhat less usefully, I think, at audioreview.com
