I'm looking for advise on which sybwoofers could supplement the high quality sound produced by my audio system-I already have 5 speakers. I'm not going to tell you the speaker brand because many will say-stick with the same brand as your main speakers. I play classical and jazz cds-use system for movies 5% of time. Give me some specific names i should investigate.Thanks-

Check out Anthony Gallo MPS-150 powered sub. 20hz to 160hz. Like all speakers, it takes a week or two to break in.
The REL Strata III is a great sub, and is just awesome in pairs!http://www.rel.net, or see my site for more.
MUSICAL = REL =)
I'd take a look at the website belowhttp://www.svsubwoofers.com/
These products are owned by many of those at the HTForum and get rave reviews. They are extremely nice guys to work with. I've listened to them many times and will have mine on order this May.

Wow, can't believe nobody has mentioned REL. Do some research.
I use the VMPS subwoofer. It is made by Brian Cheney, who is on this website. To my ears, it is very musical and I use it mostly for home theater. I use it with my WATT's.
here's what I use. I find it extremely musical. And very affordable.
Check out Velodyne. They are musical, and not too expensive.
The Linn AV5150 is the most musical I've heard and well regarded for it's ability to play music.
I did this research recently and I know the ACI Titan II is very highly regarded by a lot of folks. Check the archives here and, somewhat less usefully, I think, at audioreview.comGood luck.
