For a music lover, the Arcam is a great deal (though personally i would just get an MF integrated, and Onkyo 595...another story, but same price). that is what i hate about forums, is that people so often ignore the poster, and just post what they bought and say it is great. speaking from someone who just got into ht/hifi a year ago, i remember how confusing reading these kind of posts was.

  in the $700 range. i was thinking of the MF XA-2.
  btw, i do REALLY like the Arcam cd players....if i hadn't found the CAL CL-15 for 700 (used), would have bought the 72 new. the receiver won't work for me because i need a large-small-small setup...though would be great for me if it did, so i can get rid of this crappy sony es i got as part of a trade a while back.
