I need a high-end Prog Scan DVD player to mate with my 480P/1080i HDTV to watch DVD movies (my set's built-in deinterlacer is based on the Genesis chip which is mediocre at best). Since I plan to spend about $2500 on the player, I also need a real upgrade path to DVD-audio whenever a digital interface standard is accepted. My choices so far are the upcoming Arcam FMJ Series DV27 and the Panasonic DVD-H2000, and the current EAD TheaterVision P. Does anyone have any info on any of these models? How do they compare in picture and sound quality? Any alternative choices would be welcomed, keeping in mind that my requirements are a deinterlacer based on the SI/DVDO503 chip, audiophile-grade components and some form of DVD-audio upgrade path.
