I am on cloud 9 right now. Yesterday, I went into my local electronics store retailer to look for a CD, and moseyed on over to the large screen/projection TV area. About 2 years ago, I had done the same, and was shocked at how much the really good rear projection units cost (about 5 to 8K for the ones with a really nice digital picture). I noticed that these sets are now HDTV ready, digital sets, and have dropped in price immensely! Seems that now is the time to buy! Anyway, I was stunned to see such a fine TV for only $2700!!! The picture was stunning, they had a one year no interest policy, so what did I do? I got one to replace my 32" TV!!!! I went in for a measly CD, and walked out having purchased a 53" Sony KP series rear projection, HDTV ready, digital TV for under 3K!!! Moral of the story... never ever go into Circuit City to buy a CD if you like big TV's, unless you have a very understanding wife (I do, thankfully!)!
