I doubt many folks here would endorse blose speakers(pun intended). However, the receiver and sub will probably get some kudos. Have you listened to the bose ?

Yep i've heard bad things about them but i own a current
"Lifestyle 8 System" that i bought 2 years back..now i cant use the subwoofer and the music center for 5.1 so i need a new amp and sub..
Would it work though?
How would i go about stoppin the low frequencies going to the cubes? And to redirect all bass to the sub??
Not sure how you can manage that...but from what I know from other posts on bose, you really aren't getting low freq's to the cubes anyway! May want to repost your how-to question in the speaker forum. Best of luck.
