I'm hoping to get some advice/direction on what DVD player is getting good reviews from the posters.I'm looking for a high-quality player, either reference, or close to reference.
Thanks for the help!

If you are seeking for top quality, you should perhaps be investigating HTPC or external scalers foryour video set-up.DVD Via HTPC or top end scalers (Vigatec, TAW Rock) would probably best most ofthe single function players out there.
Plus, a scaler or HTPC gives you the flexibility to scale sources other than just DVD.
Before you spend over $1k on a DVD player, investigate these options.

Camelot Roundtable is one of the best options out there. While we haven't tested it yet, the Integra Research RDP-7 is one to consider as well.
Further, if you can wait until July EAD is releasing their Theater Vision Ultra (and discontinuing the Theater Vision P).
There's Ayre's D-1, fully loaded it lands at a paltry US$11K.
I'd say the Meridian model 800, which goes for US$15K, but I don't recommend it because it doesn't include progressive scan output yet.
From an audio perspective all of these are worth your consideration.
