  Yes you can set you DVD player up to feed ALL the info through the front speakers but it's just a glorified VCR without as much advantage as having Pro-Logic Sound.

  The point of multi-channel DVD (5.1 or 6.1) is the sound radiating from speakers in multiple locations. An object can literally be moved all the way around you with sound. As I do not have DVD Audio in my system yet I can't comment on that, but as far as movies go, there is no other way in my book. Hell, I won't go to the theatres anymore ... 'cause the sound is better @ home and we serve free refreshments and pause for pee breaks!

  Both Mr. Carbonara and Zeus (a few posts below) have the same e-mail provider -- OTE.NET. Coincidence? Both purport to favor 2-channel DVD, and both have obviously made-up handles (one cool, the other quite silly) designed for anonymity. Coincidence? I think not!
