The word I'm seeing over on hometheaterspot.com is the service menus are being COMPLETELY blocked out to the consumer on the 2002 model Mitsubishi's. Only the technicians will have a remote that can access service modes. I have not seen this verified by the manufacturer yet, but....

Now I know there's some clever folks out there that will get the codes from a tech's remote and it won't be long till the tweakers will be back in business.

Marketing moves can be wierd when analyzed.
