Howdy,
Stopped by my local Tweeder last night to view Sony's 32" and 36" XBR400 models. I was informed they now sell the XBR450 (The XBR400 was the display model, but no longer in stock). Per Sony's XBR450 press release, http://64.35.93.160/pressrelease/166, The XBR450 will do 3:2 pulldown (XBR400 does not).I was planning to get a Progressive scan DVD player which does 3:2 pulldown, so I don't think I need this feature with DVD's... However my primary source will be DSS (Dish network).
Q1) Will the new 3:2 pulldown feature improve DSS video source quality?
Q2) If I get this feature in the XBR450, do I need a progressive
scan DVD player?THanks in advance!

Read your post with great enthusiasm, since I'm also looking at the Sony HDTV models. Too bad you didn't get any knowledgeable responses.I've found good pricing online with the 36XBR400s, but I also saw some complaints, which scared me off. Have you made a decision yet? If you found some good information, I appreciate it if you could let me know.
