Rich,
Oops, I got a bit over-enthusiastic in my post. I have by no means gotten through half of the publicly traded brands out there, but I have been comparing amplifiers for several years now and have put SO many products of different companies through their paces. With this amplifier, I was just so astonished at its performance because I was honestly expecting mediocre sound at best. This was the first forum that I hit after deciding to post, so I wanted to get the word out regarding the use of pro-audio amps in home installs. I was leary of using them but those fears are squelched now. Lately, I have been focusing some attention (and some of my grant money) into exploring audibility and component-level curve tracing ability of power semiconductors. The non beta-matched design of many high power pro amps I've seen make me worry about the performance on different harmonic levels, but so far things seem pretty smooth with all that I've tested. I've only toyed around with 2 pro amps so far. I feel that I've produced some great sounding amps of my own, but I certainly love the pounding power of some of the pro audio stuff. I appologize for coming across as having tested *all* the home brands out there. Thanks for keeping me grounded on this.
