...I own it, so I'm biased. It is the only player that you mention which provides a digital 24/96 output signal for use with an external 24/96 DAC. Moreover, it has a picture that is second to none and has more flexible controls for picture adjustment than the other players. Its CD sound quality is quite good.
I use it as a transport for the MSB Link DAC. I find the build quality of the 09 slightly better than the 5000. The Pioneer's transport is dead quiet whereas the Denon will make a noticeable whizzing noise (surprising considering the price).Ken.
