Hello:Forgive me if I'm being too basic, but I'm a little out of my element here, being more of a hifi type. I'm looking for some info and recomendations for an audio setup to be driven by the digital out from my DVD player.
I have 5 (6 actually) channels of full fidelity audio amplification, plus stereo subwoofer amps. Decent speakers to match all of this.
I believe I need a processor. I can accept either preamp or line level inputs if it makes a difference. Any recomendations for a processor? Preferably one I could find used? What would be some general specs I'd need to look for?
What are the recomended audio sound level ratios for front/rear/center channels?
Thanks for any help.

You'll need to tell us what price level you are looking for.If you can afford it, I would recommend a used Lexicon DC-1. For HT, and at the prices they are going for now ($1,400 down to $1,000, depending on the extras), it's a heck of a deal. I just upgraded to the MC-1 myself.
