What kind of TV/display does he use?
Can it accept a 480p signal (progressive DVD), or only interlaced? If only interlaced the RV-80 is thebest I thnk (uness you want to get a carousel changer to make his life easier.
If he can accept progressive ffeds, here are new DVD players being released now oversea with the Sage/Farajouda de-interlacing chip, which is superior to those used in current progressive units.
The newest is called the Skyworth 1050p, and sonme US sites are importing it. IT is only about $300.
