My parents, who are on Social Security, need a new TV because my stepmother is having some difficulties with vision. They want a 27 inch. I'm recommending they get a flat screen. Any recommendations as to brands, reputable net dealers who offer good discounts, best bag for the buck, etc? Will flat screen give the best picture or is there a model that rivals flat screen at a lower price?Any info or tips are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, 'mates.

A question for you: How is their vision? I have elderly parents where a larger picture is much more important than the resolution, since they can't resolve it anyway. I would opt for the largest screen practical and not worry about flat screen, since it drives the price up very rapidly. My advice, buy a Sony. Great quality, available service and resonably priced (IMO) for conventional TVs.Just a few thoughts to ponder!
