Sony used to be one of the best made until they were bought or taken over by I believe Orion. You will notice that all of the TVs and VCRs that Wal-Mart sells are owned by the same company (Sony, Phillips, Orion, Symphonic, etc...) they are cheap made and have virtually the same components. If you buy the cheaper ones you will be lucky to get a years use out of them. I have worked on TVs and VCRs for a couple of years now, and if it comes from Wal-Mart I won't touch it. It will cost more to fix usually than you can buy a new one for. I have personally bought two TVs from Wal-Mart, never again. Neither lasted a year and unless you keep the box (hard to do for a 25") they won't take them back. BEWARE
