  I bought my Outlaw 1050 receiver early last year and it met or exceded all of my expectations. However, my priority was for multi channel home theater.

  I know that the unit compared favorably with other receivers out at the same time and was certainly a better value than most. Check out this review as it may closer reflect your concerns;

  Again, I feel the unit will hold its own against many other more expensive receivers out there and I when I plan my next hardware upgrade, the upcoming Outlaw separates will be high on the list under consideration.
