I am looking for the best TV for about 250 us dollars, with an (approximately) 21 inch screen. I have a video cassette and am also looking for a DVD player for the same money (250 USD). As far as the TV is concerned, it would be PAL system, and have two female "euroconnector" plugs to accomodate both the DVD and VCR. Regarding the DVD, I would like something which is both PAL and NTSC compatible, with easily hacked regional codes. Sound on the TV is secondary, since I will be mostly running the sound through my stereo. Any help is appreciated.

For a selection of TV's and multi-region DVD players check out the link below. You can get some excellent Wide Screen PAL TV's and their modified DVD player get through even RCE copy protection and most will output NTSC to PAL. I am an American living in England and I bought a 28" Philips widescreen TV and a Panasonic DVD-A7 that is multiregion and outputs NTSC DVDs in PAL to the TV and it works great.
The tv needs to have component inputs or S video inputs, in order to work with a DVD player and to get the best picture. I have no idea the prices of players or tvs in Europe, but there are British companies that sell "region free" dvd players.
Buy a Sampo DVE-620 player, use it on any TV.
