I have my HT and stereo system co-located, and would like to use the same front channel speakers (B&W Matrix 3 801s) for both applications. However, the biggest problem is that my HT amp is a Carver 5 channel while my stereo amps are the SF Power 3 Monoblocks (i.e. 2 separate amps sources for the speakers), and I am trying to figure out a way such that I do not have to continually plug/unplug speaker cables coming out of my 2 amps to my single pair of speakers. Any suggestions?

You might just use the Power 3s for the front channels regardless. It depends on how often you use the HT - the tubes are $$$ to replace (I know, I used to have power 3s myself).Otherwise, some sort of switcher like the other post said.
Good luck!
There has been a good deal of discussion on this topic. My strong recommendation (as one who has this very same set-up) is to take the few minutes to swap cables at the speaker end of things. If you use some high quality banana plugs (like the WBT ones I use) you don't suffer too many problems with quality of connection AND the swapping of cables becomes rather trivial. I estimate that I can switch mine from one to the other set in about 30 seconds. This is a MUCH better solution than introducing a speaker switcher that introduces its own sonic problems.
You can use an A/B Selector that allows you to select between two amp feeds for one pair of speakers. You will need to make sure that it can handle your wattage. Russound and Niles both carry products that can handle up to 300/350 watts respectively and accept up to 14 gauge wire.
