Hi Rod,Thanks a lot, I am thinking for future updates, Say If I want more
power or want to replace pre amp what will be the best way to go ?
If I buy 2 channel power amp and stay with current Denon and use
it as pre-amp whether will it be a good setup for HT as power amp will
be 2 channel?Thanks,
Milind
PS : I am not ruling out possibilities of Denon, but by chossing
Denon for HT, I don't want to on the music side.
It'd be a multi-step approach. I assume the Denon has pre-amp in/outs for the main speakers. You just unplug the jumper and go from the pre-amp out to the new 2 channel amp in.You would only be using the Denon as a pre-amp for music. HT would work as always but you'd have to readjust the front for a new amp.
If you don't want to use the Denon at all for music, you could add a 2 channel pre-amp and only use the Denon when you do HT. This would still use the new amp for the main speakers. You just move the pre-amp out on the Denon from the amp to a Tape or Aux input on the new 2 channel pre-amp. It helps to have a unity gain feature but you can just set the system at a known level for HT.
If you wanted to replace the Denon completely later, you'd have to add a processor and a 3 channel amp.
