Thanks I just saw it. Amazing - Ell cheapo wins the Panny rp56.
Plan to buy it this week. Glad this process is finally complete. Thanks for the site

No problem. I have the 91 and would have went with the 56 if I hadn't jumped-the-gun. Even so, the 91 is very nice with top Nordost component cables. And best of all, no worries about the dreaded chroma bug.-- Greg
Greg,How do you like the 91???
Have you compared it to the 56? I know they have different chips, and it's built like a tank!
Mitch
Well, the 91 is ANYTHING but a tank. It's very light in weight and has a small box compared to my Sony 7000. I'd call it, wimpy. Performance-wise, it's quite good. Excellent picture. I imagine the 56 is better in video. I don't use the DVD-Audio function.-- Greg
Hi Greg,
Much to your surprise, the panny rp91 is a killing all in it's range and more. The 56 does not have digital coax out.
Here are some comparitive reviews. While they appear to be the same, the 56 is cutting costs in several areas making the 91 a no brainer. Congrats. No buyers remorse here.
The DVD-A has remastering capabilities.
Thanks for pointing me there.
Regards,
Mitch
BTW what are they going for thes days?
Missed the coax out not being on the 56 - that's a must have for me. Enjoy!-- Greg
