I have a Proscan 32 inch TV in the bedroom. Like clockwork, between 5 and 20 minutes after turning it on, it will lose its picture to white noise, start screeching hideously and generally fade in and out until someone goes behind and rattles the input jack, at which point it will act normal again. WTH? It is definitely a problem inside the TV, not with the video cable, and seems to do it after it has warmed up. Sometimes it will do it more than once; sometimes the picture will come back on its own and you don't need to rattle the input, but rattling the input always fixes it. Anyone? I can see some TV repair guy having it for days, charging me hundreds and returning it unfixed. I like this TV, but this has got to stop. Thanks for any help in advance.

Brutha, get these ass to a service tech, ASAP.I had a similar problem with my Toshiba set fresh out of the box! Turns out the PCB had some edges on it that weren't sanded smooth at the factory, causing there to be not enough play between the front panel controls and the front of the set!
Took the tech about ten minutes to figure it out, and about another twenty to dremel the edges of the PCB- under warranty, of course! No problems since!
Good luck,
Dman
Proscan, RCA, GE all made by Thomson will sooner or later probably exhibit some problems which is caused by bad solder connections on the tuner part of the circuit board. I repair electronics and have done over 30 of these repairs and I'm just a small shop.
