Excellent sonics, built in upsampler but you must have a dac or pre/pro capable of decoding the upsampled signal. Upsamples cd to 24/88.2 and DVD to 24/96. Also exceptional picture quality and build quality. Has large well built female RCAs for analog connections. Burr Brown dacs as well. Separate power supplies for video and audio. This unit consumes 45 watts. Take a look at the typical dvd player which consume about 9 watts and you will have an idea as to the build quality of the power supply.
