Any recommendations for a video AND AUDIO capture board for a PC to take the output of a Sony Hi-8 Camcorder.Does anyone make these at a relatively economical price?
I bought a Pinnacle Studio AV capture board but it only captures video. I guess the AV stands for Analog Video not Audio/Video, ARGH!!
If no one makes these how does one capture the audio? With the Editing software and existing Audio Card?
Thanks in advance.

Well like EDM posted, ATI all in wonder is really awsome for little money. It does sound like you forgot to plug in the audio into your sound card to record though. Pinnical systems is a decent company, instead of thier studio cards, check out thier Miro DC 30 or something like that for higher end recording and editing capabilities. If I were you I would get the new ATI Radeon 8500 All in Wonder, it has firewire as well as analog capturing.JTL
Most of the better video capture cards leave the audio portion to your audio card. For more help with this, visit www.vcdhelp.com, even if you don't intend to make (S)VCD's or DVD burns.Robert
I have an ATI AIW, and if you ever have to format and reload your harddrive, good luck.
You will likely end up putting in another card to get it up and running.
