I have completed my 2 channel setup and am ready to update the HT portion of the system. I have CJ 2 channel amp and preamp. Pre has a processor loop in which is plugged an Adcom GSA-700 which is a 3 channel amp with pre-processor. The Adcom is pro logic and needs to be replaced/upgraded. Adcom makes a GDD-1 which is a Dolby digital decoder which upgrades the GSA-700. However it does not have DTS (is this important?). Is there another product similar to this with DTS which will allow me to use the GSA-700 or should I get a HT receiver and use the amp of the receiver to drive the center and rears? If I use a receiver, how do I tie the CJ equipment and receiver together? Would I still use the processor loop of the CJ as I do now? Your suggestions are appreciated. Also I'm trying to stick to a $750 or below budget
Follow Ups:
With any receiver or DD/DTS processor, one way to tie it and the CJ together is to route the receiver/processor L&R analog pre-outs to the CJ.This means you would need to unplug a receiver's jumper plugs for L&R mains (L&R pre-out --> L&R amp-in) if it has them.

I assume you are talking about running the preamp out left & right fronts of the receiver to the processor in (loop) on the CJ?
My stereo preamp doesn't have an HT loop, so I use a normal analog input (AUX) on the preamp and set the volume control to 12 o'clock.
I use a 5 channel amp for both 2-channel and HT.If the CJ offers an HT bypass, that's what I would use, like;
receiver L&R preout --> CJ L&R HT bypass input
CJ L&R HT bypass output --> reciver amp input (or external amp)bstan
I am always disappointed when movies done in DTS (all?) don't come that way on DVD. The main difference that I hear is that when DTS is done well, you are inside of a realistic sound field like standing in the middle of a city street for example. DD sounds to me like it has occassional effects go by in the back.
