Has anyone seen, heard, or read anything on Enlightened Audio Design's amp(s)? Any opinions
or impressions? I have no place to demo locally,
so I thought I'd do some preliminary research before
I considered a road trip demo.
I just got mine today, absolutly awsome, I had a classe cav 150 with Def bp 2000 tl, I decided to bridge the amp, it really made my speakers come alive, so I decided to go another step, I sold my classe and bought the ead powermaster 2000, ead in my opinion have the best looking and best built amps and preamps out today, when I hooked this amp up I was stunned how much more I got out of my speakers, the classe cav 150 is a very good amp, but the ead just takes it to another level, don't pass this amp up !
I believe these are the first amps for EAD. I personally wouldn't buy the first of a new product type from any company. Not that I'm accusing EAD of not doing it right the first time, but I've seen too many "glitches" in the past from companies with new product lines.I'm in the market for a better amp myself right now (using Aragon 8008's all around in my HT setup), but for the reason stated, I've eliminated EAD from my choices. Have to admit though they are tempting, 'specially if you've got their matching (costmetically) CD player or preamp/pro.
If you get one, please post your observations for the rest of us.
Mine has perdormed flawlessly
I have one. It's a great amp. Make the trek and go listen.
