Some movies, like Castaway, have some THX thing that helps you calibrate your TV set. You can kill two birds with one stone by renting one of those movies.Otherwise, there's Avia and Video Essentials.

So, where can I buy/find/beg/borrow/steal an Avia or a Video Essentials? Thanks for your help, guys.
You can rent Video Essentials from Netflix. Only problem is the color filters may be missing. (You look at test patterns through the filters to make sure your colors are right.) I got the filters the first time I rented it but not the second time. I eventually got a copy of Avia with my DVD player. If you're in the Southern California area and can convince me that I can trust you, I may let you borrow (not steal) my copy of Avia.
Amazon.com has it on sale. The Video Essentials is now out of print, I believe they are making a newer version soon associated with HDTV.Ebay has some aucions that sell the VE, but very few sell the Avia HT one.
Heard also samgoody is cheap too.
