I'm in the process of adding a three channel amp to my stereo system for home theater use. I'm using Bryston gear now and would use a Bryston three channel if I could swing it but alas...
So Adcom's 5503 has come up and a B&K three channel. Anyone have any experience with these amps/companies and have a preference? thanks for any tips!

Have you considered the Anthem MCA 3. I believe you would find it a good match for your Bryston & save a few dollars over the Adcom.
It's unfashionable, perhaps, but I'm a happy (well, for now) Adcom amplification user. Their stuff is a helluva lot better, more musical than it gets credit for. In fact you'll find Adcom amps in the majority of pro sound studios in this country. Why not get the 5503 from Audio Advisor? They carry the full line and offer a 30-day money-back "home trial" period. If you don't like it, ship 'er back. And have you looked into Rotel? Excellent stuff about in the same (similar, at least) budget-zone as Adcom etc. A friend has a 5-ch Rotel amp and it sounds just killer, easily on par with many of the "better" 2-ch amps I've listened to. Have not heard B&K, but the stuff sure looks slick.Good luck
