Does anyone know if there is an upgrade for the REF 30, or if they plan to upgrade? I've tried emailing them many times to no responses. Thanks

My Reference 30 seems to decode DTS ES pretty well in Dolby EX mode, though I suspect not as accurately as DTS ES circutry would.See ya. Dave
Call B&K and ask for customer service. They are quite nice.. I'll warn you though for the last year (actually more than the last year) they have been telling me 'next month' to upgrade my reference 10 to 30...............Good Luck

This post got me thinking so I called B&K about the 10 to 30 upgrade.. It is actually a 10 to 20+ (The 20+ being a 30 without THX or component video switching).Sorry I didn't ask about the original question posted.. I was too excited!

I have a 20 and I was asking what the upgrade to 20+ would cost. Mind you it only includes half the features in difference between the 20 and 30 and cost $900. I mean seriously folks. The retail on the Ref 20 was $2500 an 30 was $2800 but half the upgrade is $900?. What gives....yeah they have an upgrade plan, but you get half the features of the true upgrade for 1/3 original retail value? Anyone else see the flaw in this?Josh
Unsatisfied B&K owner.
The DTS-ES, DPL-2 upgrades are waiting on the new Motorolas to be ready with the code.Since a number of Motorola based solutions were displaying this capability I'd bet that it'll be sooner rather than later that we see this capacity.
Regards,
I spoke with Mike at B&K yesterday regarding upgrades for the Reference 30. He said there have been none and that they have just started to think about Dolby ProLogic II. Then he said I shouldn't expect anything on that till at least late this year.Somehow I had the impression B&K was a little more aggressive about their upgrades when I bought mine. Not that that makes a whole lot of difference at this point, because I sure enjoy it as is.
See ya. Dave
