Anyone have a simple circuit to convert composite video signals to S video? (I'm a new inmate to the asylum, so just shoot me if this has been covered previously!)

go to www.partsexpress.com, they have a less expensive solution than AudioAdvisor.... it's a little adapter plug and would not make a big difference which trademark you use.....-Sam
Even if it is I cannot see the point because you could not improve on composite output quality by adding more circuitry. As I understand it the video signal has to have its components split up much earlier in the chain -> S video.John

Here's a scenerio where it may be handy.Imagine a home theater wherein your DVD, TiVo, and Sat, and (GameCube, XBox, et cetra) all go into your Reciver via S-video then out to the TV using the S-Video monitor out. What do you do with your VCR? Well, I'd use a composite to S adapter so that my whole system can remain in the "S" domain. It's not an image enhancement product as much as a convenience one.
P.S. tributaries makes one with Y and C adjustments for $100.
Yep, probably nothing to be gained after it's output from the source device without getting something like a high-end faroudja or processor like it. I did see a converter plug on Audio Advisor that looks like it does indeed convert from composite to s-video.-- Greg
