I just purchased a Microstar G2Ti PRO-VT video card for my computer and it is VIVO so I would like to watch some video sources from my computer to a big screen tv. But the tv is about 40 ft. away from the computer if I run a 50ft run of component video cable will it hold a descent picture thanks
Follow Ups:
i have not tried a composite (did you really mean component? that would be 3 separate cables Vs. 1 for composite), but i have run a 55ft S-Video and although the picture was good, it was not as good as a shorter run.... So, i bought a S-Video amplifier from Camelot Tech and it is beautiful now!-Sam
you can get it custom made from BetterCables.com for decent grade cable... you can also get an acceptable lower grade one from www.smarthome.com or www.partsexpress.com. Both have good quality basic S-Video cables.Needless to say you can get a custom one made from various high-end sources, but assuming you are ouputing from a computer then you probably don't want to spend several hundred dollars or thousands on the cable???
