Would anyone care to share their opinions as to how the inexpensive Pioneer and Sony DVD players compare in regard to their video quality. I use interlaced, with Sharp LCD projector and would connect with component cables. Thanks in advance Joe Fagan

I have a Pioneer Elite DV-05, not PS but looks great!! I hear good things about the Panasonic model 91, Sony's are very fine too.
Why get an inexpensive DVD player when all diffects will show when projected on a large screen by lor LCD projector??
You want to consider a very good DVD, and really anjoy it otherwise you'll regtret it very soon.
Most of inexpensive DVD players will do just that.
Shop arounf and let your eyes do the comparing always inb a very big screen, make sure the screen is not adjusted specially for the DVD machine they want to sell this month.
Ask about their return policies and take it home and watch some movies, see what happens. . .Good luck

And yes I have owned all 3 brands. I would not have another Sony if you gave it to me (after having 3 in a row crap out) and I sold 2 Pioneers after seeing (and hearing) the Panasonic RP91
you wouldn't be able to distinguish your Panasonic from a Sony.
get it, blind, get it.
I have had 3 Sony's and have only had great results with them.... DVP7000, DVPS7700, and now the DVP-S9000ES...... no experience with their lower end DVD players.... I've had JVC and Pioneer also. I would say my order would be Sony, Pioneer, and a long third JVC.Sam
