That's due to the chroma-sampling bug that is present in MOST de-interlacer chips used by all the major brands.

I don't have this with the 9000 on my Toshiba 40H80. This would seem to disprove your little theory.
Also, Why does it not occur in Interlace mode???KM
If that is true, why did I not see the same type of artificat when my 9000 is tied to the Pioneer Elite projection TV? What is the difference?KM
