I strongly segguest the Toshibas, they're great to watch, and they can be relatively easy tweeked to perform like the big buck guys.
Spend a couple of thou$$ on the RPTV, call one of the ISF guys and have them do thier thing for about $400 or so, you'll get the performance of a 12,000 Runco (or very close...)Good hunting, happy viewing!

at your local circuit city around $3500. Its dynamic range, color accuracy and definition are excellent; as a result, the picture is smooth and real. I thouht it was much better than the mitsubishi and sony sitting close by.
I would go with either the Pioneer Elite or one of the Diamond series Mitsubishis. Although I would suggest that if you could afford either one, and you didnt mind tinkering with stuff, I would go with a front projection system. Bigger picture, more versatile, etc. just a suggestion.....

i just bought the toshiba 57hx81 looks good to me.I paid 2200 for it . Got that price because the store had to be good to me because of a previous problem.
I have been told it's Pioneer Elite.
Then you et Hitachi makes all the guns for everyone.
Both have nice picture, as well as Toshiba.
Hard to justify the double price on the Pioneer.Best bet is pick what looks good to you.
