If that is the Solondz movie you're talking about, I think it is quite a bit better than Paul Bartel's "Eating Raoul" (and I enjoy Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov's B-films for Roger Corman, especially "Death Race 2000" featuring then-newcomer Sylvester Stallone in his best role). "Dollhouse" was one of the many quality independent films released during 1996, the best year for English language movies in two decades. Lead actress Heather Matarazzo was also in the beginning of "The Devil's Advocate", being destroyed in court by cross-examination from ruthless attorney Keanu Reeves. Solondz follow-up effort was last year's "Happiness," also recommended.
