Saw this one with two friends who had diametrically opposite opinions. One was like yours, Dan, and admired the basic plot setup and cinematography. The other complained about the stupidity of the "dead meat" characters and predictable plot. Me? Just like their physical proximity, I'm sort of in-between. The "dead meat" characters were annoying, but the main characters were pretty interesting and this film was a LOT better than "Supernova" (which was pretty much "dead from the neck up" the whole time, directed by "Alan Smithee", get it?).
