I remember being a theatre that had just opened and had included THX. That was LOUD! When the Simpsons did a send-up of THX (audience teeth broke, glasses shattered, etc.), I could not stop laughing. Dobly Digital uses a helicopter (that device refined (invented?) by that other Russian-American fellow ;-)). It is also loud. The problem is the sound is setup by deaf drug addicts, who are only happy when the sound is set at 11.
